ELCS residents have key access to the tennis and pickleball courts at the community entrance — recently expanded with new pickleball facilities, owned and maintained by the HOA.
ELCS sits within the Town of Lake Clarke Shores — a small, primarily residential town in central Palm Beach County. Founded as a lakeside community in the late 1940s and incorporated in 1957, the town today is home to approximately 3,500 residents across roughly 1,500 homes.
The town is named after John Newton Clarke, who first filed a homestead claim in the area in 1897. Lake Clarke itself anchors the community — the distance around the lake is 3.3 miles, and waterfront access has shaped neighborhood life since incorporation.
The Town operates its own full-service police department, with 10 full-time and 3 part-time sworn officers, supported by administrative staff and a code enforcement officer. Fire and EMS service is provided via Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, with town police trained as first responders for medical emergencies. The Town also operates the CodeRED emergency notification system for residents.
